    18th Century 3 Star cottage in a beautiful small dales town in the North Pennines

    This early 18th Century cottage is attached to a beautiful Queen Anne house, the second floor of which contains the bedrooms which are reach by a most interesting old staircase, leading direct from the first floor of the cottage. Both properties are nationally listed as being of special architectural/historic interest.

    The accommodation offers1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 3 singles and a cot, 1 with bedroom with 2 singles, bathroom with bath WC and washbasin, shower room with washbasin, lounge, kitchen/diner.

    At the front of the property there is a small shared garden and at the rear a shared yard with tables and chairs and a barbecue.

    The property is in a conservation area conveniently situated only 3 minutes walk from the town’s ample facilities and also for walks in the surrounding countryside and along the river Wear.Weardale is famous for its network of beautiful public footpaths and particularly the Weardale Way long distance walk. Out of school hours, a swimming pool is available for public use.

    Wolsingham is a small town situated in Weardale - one of the North Pennine dales - in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is ideally located for exploring the region.

    Fishing is available at Tunstall Reservoir only 2 miles away.

    Golf and horse riding facilities are only 6 miles away.

    Numerous outdoor activities including pheasant shooting, clay pigeon shooting, archery and off-road driving can be experienced on the Coves House Estate which is only 2 miles away.

    Mountain biking can be experienced in Hamsterley Forest, 4 miles away.This forest provides many opportunities for outdoor activities with forest walks, nature trails and orienteering courses. There are many picnic sites and also a visitor centre and shop.

    Heritage trains now operate regularly on the Weardale Railway which has a station in Wolsingham only 400yds from the cottage.
