4 attractive farm cottage in an idyllic location near Devizes and Marlborough |
|
Tichbornes Farm Cottages are four comfortable self catering farm cottages. Three of these are single storey cottages in a former stable block around a paved and gravel courtyard, and the fourth is a tastefully converted granary with three bedrooms. All on a farm in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey. These well equipped, 4 star holiday cottages are at the end of a private road midway between Stonehenge and Avebury and near Devizes market town and the Kennet and Avon canal. |

The stables were converted into self catering holiday cottages in the autumn of 2002, and are each of similar design. Two have split level accommodation while the third is all on one level and especially adapted for the disabled. Each cottage, Linnet, Swallow and Kestrel, has an open plan living area with sofa, armchairs, coffee table, TV/video, CD/hi-fi, dining table and extra chairs. Incorporated into each living area is a very well equipped kitchen including a microwave, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher. Each property has one twin and one double bedroom with fabulous 'healthopaedic' mattresses that react to the weight and temperature of the body by moulding to its shape. Kestrel is suitable for the disabled with the bathroom featuring a roll-in shower and grab rails installed for the bath and toilet. The Granary is a newly refurbished, luxury 3-bedroomed cottage with a charming spiral staircase and character vaulted ceilings which makes use of renewable energy! Features include a wood burning stove in the tasteful living room, a digital TV, DVD and music centre with iPod docking station and a telephone and wi-fi internet access. The well equipped fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher and ceramic hob. The three bedrooms - a double with ensuite and two twin rooms - make an ideal venue for larger families or a group of friends to stay together in stylish accommodation. The cottages all have full central heating, a telephone and internet point. Linen and towels are provided. A cot, high chair and extra folding bed are available if required. A shared laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a heated room for drying boots and clothing is available. |
