Holly Cottage, which sleeps 3, is a delightful Grade II listed end terrace cottage on the edge of the historic market town of Tavistock and Owls Roost is a newly renovated luxury apartment, with one double bedroom, on the first floor of a lovely old converted barn. 	Holly Cottage

			Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms £290-£500 This charming character cottage is newly refurbished and ideal for couples, a small family or friends to share for a relaxing holiday. Situated on the edge of Tavistock, within walking distance of shops and services, it also offers the picturesque beauty of Dartmoor on the doorstep. Both the double and bunk bedrooms are traditionally furnished with pine beds, drawers and wardrobes offering plenty of room for storage. A beamed ceiling in the living room and a tiled cast iron fireplace provide a character setting for the modern settee with recliners, a reclining chair, TV and DVD player. A selection of films on DVD and a Radio/CD/tape player are also provided. By the window, at the opposite end of the room, is the dining table and chairs. The bright newly fitted kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave and a full complement of cutlery, crockery, utensils and pans. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and washbasin. Household linen is provided, but visitors should bring their own beach towels. A washing machine is available in the outside shed. The owners have provided everything for a comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing self catering holiday.

Owls Roost

			Sleeps 2 in 1 double bedroom £260-£480 This luxurious romantic apartment is on the first floor of a lovely old character converted barn. It has been carefully designed to provide a romantic short break whilst remaining spacious, light and comfortable. On the outskirts of Tavistock it is approximately 2 miles from the town centre on the edge of Dartmoor with paths, a bridle path and a cycle path leading straight onto the Tors and into the National Park. Wonderful beams have been exposed throughout and feature in each room. The large bedroom contains a king-sized pine bed and plenty of storage space for clothes. In the bathroom a special double bath tempts guests to start the holiday with a relaxing evening enjoying a glass of complementary wine. There's also a separate shower enclosure, wash basin and toilet. The inviting living room features a wood burner stove, a settee with recliners, a large TV with Freeview, DVD player and a CD/radio. The fitted kitchen provides a cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and all the other utensils and equipment to ensure a comfortable stay. There are laundry facilities on site. Bed linen is provided free of charge. Towels are provided but visitors should bring their own beach towels.



	The Area
	From Owls Roost a short walk on an adjoining bridle path leads directly onto Cox Tor, sitting above Tavistock, with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. From here miles of walks lead across Dartmoor with opportunities to explore the many historic sites in the locality. Owls Roost is situated on Cycle Path 27, on the National network of cycle paths. There is plenty of storage space for cycles or local hire can be arranged. Tavistock was recently voted the best market town in England. Holly Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to browse the shops, explore the history of the town or explore the wilds of Dartmoor. Guide books for guests’ use are provided at the cottage. There are many interesting and varied building of historic interest within easy walking of the cottage. Nearby both cottages is a wide selection of golf courses, fishing venues, long and short walks. Why not go riding on Dartmoor and experience the thrill of the wildness it offers? Guided walks on Dartmoor can be arranged. The historic naval town of Plymouth is 13 miles south and much of South Devon can be explored from here.
