The Tallet, Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom
£465 to £675 per week
Through the front door and straight up the stairs guests enter the fantastic loft style living area. The area is wonderfully light due to the number of windows with exposed limed beams providing a unique feature.
The open plan living space has a sofa, arm chair and a charming window seat, a good size dining table with upholstered chairs, seating 6 and a well equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Through the living area is the family bathroom with a window and shower over the bath.
The master bedroom is an impressive room with vaulted ceilings, exposed limed beams, fitted tongue and groove painted wardrobes and a double bed. Again this room is lovely and light due to the big velux windows.
The open mezzanine level above the sitting room is a twin/double bedoom (with curtains for privacy) which is a rather dramatic area beneath the ceiling eaves with exposed limed beams and huge windows with far reaching views. The beds can be pushed together if needed.
This barn has a fantastic enclosed outside private courtyard with seating via the stairs through the communal hall. It is a great size and a real suntrap, perfect for BBQs.
This conversion has quite dramatic features and character. It would work well for a family who would like to rent The Tallet and the Linney together as they are around the corner from the other properties.
The Old Stables
The Tallet
The Old Barn, Sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms
£500-£750
This very spacious, light and airy property is very well-appointed throughout with beautiful oak floors and wonderful feature oak beams and high ceilings. It is a wonderful cottage with great features, ideally laid out for a family with the addition of an outside seating area and wonderful views.
The character charm of the property welcome guests entering the large family kitchen, where the view reaches out over the fields and beyond. Well equipped, the kitchen contains a slim-line dishwasher and a washing machine. A couple of steps lead up to the sitting room – a very impressive room with a high ceiling and light coming through from three elevations. Large sofas and an electric wood effect fire invite relaxation, while exposed natural oak beams compliment the oak flooring.
Above the sitting room is an open mezzanine level, reached by a fantastic open oak staircase, where the impressive master bedroom and en-suite shower room are to be discovered. The bedroom is a lovely light room under the eaves with oak beams. The shower room has a double sized shower and large window to appreciate the view.
The remaining bedrooms are on the ground floor beyond the family kitchen. These bedrooms and family bathroom can be closed off by the reassuringly large solid oak door from the kitchen making it ideal for children to sleep quietly while you use the kitchen and the sitting room beyond.
The family bathroom is a generous size and airy with a shower over the bath and natural light. Next door there is a single room with a high ceiling, a conservation roof light and oak beams.
Further down the wide and airy corridor with velux windows and oak beams is the twin room. This is a huge airy bedroom, with a vaulted ceiling, which houses two double beds which are ideal for either children - giving them space to play - or adults who favour the option of separate beds.
The Old Stables, Sleeps 3-4 in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom
£450-£625
You walk through the front door into the hallway with limed exposed beams throughout, a tiled floor for your wellies and hooks under the stairs to hang your coats.
Off the hallway is the cosy snug area to watch the television or curl up on the leather sofas with a good book.
The attractive modern kitchen is a good size with a dining table and chairs for formal meals and views out across the fields. The double and twin bedrooms are also on this floor. There is a light double room with a large velux window. The double bed is against the wall so may be more suitable for one than 2.
Further along the corridor is a twin room where the beds can be pushed together to make a double. This again is lovely and light with velux windows set into the ceiling eaves, featuring limed beams.
Upstairs the family bathroom has a shower over the bath and a velux window offering plenty of light.
The Old Stables has an outside gravelled area too with a table and chairs to have your coffee in the morning with a paper overlooking the fields, or a well-deserved glass of wine after a long walk.

There is plenty of parking and each barn has an outside area for relaxation and al fresco dining. Area
These holiday cottages are near to the pretty villages of Broadwell, Kingham, Daylesford, Bledington, Oddington and The Slaughters. Situated in a beautiful and tranquil setting within the “golden triangle” of the Cotswolds, Sydenham Farm Cottages are close to the towns of Stow-on-the-Wold (2.7 miles) and Moreton-in-Marsh. Broadwell (1 mile) and Oddington (1.2 miles) are just a short distance.
The Cotswolds are renowned for their typically English sleepy villages as well as the stunning views over rolling hills ‘Drystone walls’ and sheep on the hillside - a classic Cotswold image.
Idyllic towns and villages like Bibury and Bourton-on-the Water hide in the steep wooded valleys or sit proud on high rolling wolds. Many fine buildings include the magnificent churches built by the wealthy wool merchants from medieval times, grand houses with wonderful gardens, National Trust properties, cathedrals and chocolate box cottages.
There is an abundance of dining options nearby including the Fox Inn, Broadwell; The Fox and The Horse and Groom at Oddington; Daylesford Organic Farm (2.3 miles) is just a short drive away to go for a cooked breakfast, a lovely lunch or afternoon tea; great pubs and lovely restaurants in Stow on the Wold where The Royalist is rumoured to be the oldest inn in England - dating back to 947 AD.
Shopping can be a relaxed stroll through an excellent range of privately owned stores in Stow-on-the-Wold, a trip to the popular market town of Moreton-in-Marsh 4.5 miles away where there is a good range of amenities, or a trip to Tesco, just outside Stow.
Lots of helpful tips and suggestions for the area are provided on the owners’ web site (see link above), in addition to the detailed file in each cottage which includes listings for pubs and restaurants that are recommended by locals.
Oxford and Cheltenham are within an hour to absorb some culture with the literary and jazz festivals, live screenings of opera from New York or perhaps a theatre production.
Bath is also a lovely day trip and so beautiful with stunning architecture and Roman Spa Thermae.
Another wonderful adventure for the day, is to have morning coffee in Cirencester and head onto Tetbury for lunch and a mooch, then take in Westonbirt Arboretum. You also have the wonderful new Shakespeare theatre in Stratford-Upon- Avon a forty minute drive away.
Please ask Lizzie Davis if there are any special activities or outings you would like to include in your stay in the Cotswolds and she will aim to help organise them.
