Red Cottage is an attractive three storey mellow brick self catering holiday cottage in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Decorated and furnished to the highest quality the cottage has character features and excellent village amenities nearby. |

On the ground floor of this lovely cottage the large cosy lounge has leather seating, a colour TV, video and CD player, an attractive quarry tiled floor and open fire. The separate dining area leads conveniently up to the kitchen equipped with washing machine, oven and microwave. On the first floor is a pretty twin bedroom with views over the lane and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The second floor double bedroom is a fabulous retreat featuring an iron bedstead, dark beams and dormer windows with views over the surrounding countryside. Electricity, central heating, initial fuel for the fire, linen and towels included. |

The village of Broadwell is a contender for the title prettiest village in the Cotswolds, with a most attractive Village Green, a beautiful village church, a stream and a ford. The lovely Public House serves a good range of beers and food. Nearby Moreton-in-Marsh (4 miles) is set at the head of the beautiful Evenlode valley. It is a thriving market town dating back 1000 years to the Saxon era. This small, friendly, pretty town provides a wide range of facilities and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds. Moreton is easily accessible from London by car and with the advantage of its own railway station the train from Paddington, central London takes 80 minutes. Local shops and services can be found 2 miles away in the historic market town of Stow-on-the Wold, with a supermarket, shops, pubs, restaurants. Nearby are Blockley, Chipping Norton and Bourton-on-the-Water (5 miles). A little further away are Stratford upon Avon and Oxford. Places of interest There are plenty of places to visit including the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, the Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection, historical Blenheim Palace, at Woodstock and Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe, which is steeped in history and was once the home to Queen Katherine Parr. Treat the whole family to a unique experience at Cotswolds Farm Park, Guiting Power and the Cotswold Wildlife Park at Burford, which offers something for the children and the garden enthusiasts as the 120 acres landscaped parkland and gardens is spectacular. Visit the finest Romano-British villa in Britain - Chedworth Roman Villa at Northleach. Its is also worth visiting the famous Shakespeare Houses in Stratford, which include Harvard House, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s House and Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Hall Croft.
Walkers and ramblers will be delighted by a range of different walks;
from the 60-mile North Cotswold’s Diamond Way, the North Cotswold’s
Outliers Hills near Winchcombe to discovering the beautiful Seven
Springs near Coberley. For something more energetic cycle hire is
available at Cotswolds Country Cycles at Chipping Campden to explore
the beautiful Cotswolds villages.
