Holiday Homes Cahersiveen: A Self Catering Cottage in Portmagee Ring of Kerry Ireland

This larger than average County Kerry holiday home of approx 2000 square feet is laid out over two storeys and includes a ground floor en-suite double bedroom.

The house consists of a porch, entrance hall, a bright modern fitted dining kitchen, a separate utility room and separate sitting room. At the centre of the home is a large stone fireplace for welcoming turf fires and there are wooden floors throughout the downstairs.
Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, as well as another toilet and shower. Upstairs the landing leads to the main bedroom with en-suite, the family bathroom and two further bedrooms. A cot is provided.

There is oil central heating and turf is supplied free of charge.

Outside
Quietly situated, this self catering cottage overlooks Portmagee village, the sea and the bridge to Valentia Island. There are a number of beaches nearby. Set in a one acre garden with plenty of parking space it has a separate garage.
This vacation rental house enjoys panoramic views in all directions and is not overlooked. It is peaceful and tranquil, yet only one mile from the picturesque village of Portmagee.

Area
On the Kerry coast Portmagee is a colourful fishing village with a busy harbour, which at night time it is a hub of activity. Its pubs and restaurants offer a very high standard of cuisine.

Trips can be arranged to the famous Skellig rocks and for fishing trips in the rich Atlantic waters. There are two golf courses within ten miles. It is an ideal landscape for hill walking.

From this holiday home visit Caherciveen, Valentia Island, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Gaelic monastery on Great Skellig, take a driving tour around the Ring of Kerry or explore the Ring of Skellig.

The Skellig Ring is a predominantly coastal road, offering panoramic views of the Skellig rocks. Beginning in Ballinskelligs, the journey passes the ruins of the 16th century MacCarthy Mor tower house, and includes a short walk across the narrow isthmus to the 12th Augustinian abbey, a visit to a famine village, standing stones, beaches and tropical gardens.
