Tetbury Holiday Cottages: A Self catering Farm Cottage in Wotton Under Edge Gloucestershire Cotswolds

The old Stables is a beautiful one bedroom cottage available for self catering holiday lets from 2011. Comfortable, bright, warm and welcoming inside, it is beautifully positioned away from the farm house in a peaceful setting close to the brook and overlooking the orchard.

Luxuriously kitted out, The Stables offers a large upstairs double bedroom with a  king-size bed and palatial en-suite bathroom with a roll top cast iron bath positioned next to the window so you can gaze out over the orchard while having a relaxing soak. Designed for comfort the bathroom also has a large shower and an armchair next to the bath to make it a social affair!!

Downstairs the open-plan kitchen and living area are flooded with light from the three old stable door openings, now converted into large windows to make the most of the fantastic view. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge freezer, cooker and dishwasher and the woodburner in the corner of the living area invites you to snuggle down in front of the fire.

This Gloucestershire holiday cottage offers a wealth of extras including an Ipod Station, Wi-Fi access, unlimited wood supply and the use of mountain bikes.

Outside
Guests are welcome to collect their own chicken and duck eggs for breakfast and, of course, there will be some fantastic bacon on offer from our rare breed Gloucestershire Old Spots! Outside the Stables there is a large patio and barbeque area where amidst the sound of brook a few feet away you will be able to relax with a glass of wine without being overlooked by anyone at all. It is your own private orchard for you to enjoy, only sharing with a couple of pheasants, chickens and ducks. Parking area provided.

Area
Within easy reach of both the M4 and M5 motorways this cottage on the edge of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds is in a perfect location for weekend breaks in the Cotswolds. Away from frantic city living it offers an antidote to the bustle of modern living – a real rural retreat.

Within walking distance is the village of Kingswood with its own pub and village shop, and also close by is the charming town of Wotton Under Edge with a fantastic array of independently owned shops and pubs as well as an outdoor swimming pool in summer. The owners of The Stables provide mountain bikes on request.

There are many great walks along the Cotswold Edge from the farm without ever going on the road.

Many great local attractions including the beautiful estates of Dyrham Park and Newark Park, the antique mecca of Tetbury, the historical spa town of Bath, the fabulous city of Bristol, Westonbirt Aboretum, Slimbridge Wetland Centre and many more, are all within half an hours drive.  The Stables are also great to use as a base for nearby events such as Badminton Horse Trials and Cheltenham Races.

As additional extras we can also offer a taxi service during your stay, home cooked meals for you to heat up, bed turndown and woodburner lighting service.
