Interior
As you enter the cottage there is an area for boots and coats, then through the inner door to the generous sitting room with welcoming open log fire, comfy sofas and TV. The separate dining area opens out to the courtyard through French doors - just lovely in the summer.
Preparing delicious suppers and cooked breakfasts is a pleasure at the range cooker in the well designed bright, galley kitchen with a skylight and large window. An adjacent area houses the washing machine and fridge/freezer.
Also on the ground floor, beyond the kitchen, is a charming double bedroom. This lovely room enjoys light from 3 windows and access to the courtyard. Next door is the ground floor cloakroom with loo and basin.
Upstairs are the two further bedrooms and a separate wetroom by Fired Earth with a large power shower.
The pretty master bedroom is a generous size with a (purely decorative) fireplace and en-suite bathroom containing a bath and a large wash basin. This has wonderful character due to the small round window and an internal window between it and the bedroom. The bed is cast iron and five foot wide with a hand painted bedside table, with a light, on each side. A flat screen TV with a free view box is wall mounted.
The other first floor double bedroom has a 4'6 cast iron ivory bed and views over the courtyard. Fitted cupboards along one wall provide ample storage with fitted bookshelves along another wall. A comfortable size this bedroom has the shower room situated next door.
Park Cottage has a great deal of character and is a warm friendly cottage.
The beds are very comfortable and the owners provide a small welcome pack for your arrival.
Outside
The enclosed courtyard is accessed via French doors in the dining room. It provides light throughout the cottage and is a pretty focal point.
It is the perfect place for an alfresco supper or to sit and read the papers with a coffee. External lighting encourages sitting out on warm evenings.
