Interior
Ings Barn has been recently converted to a high standard and is carbon neutral! Having a ground source heat pump, 8 solar panels, green electric tariff and rainwater harvesting this great holiday cottage doesn’t cost the earth! The property is all on ground level with wheelchair access making it suitable for people with limited mobility.
With vaulted beamed ceilings, stone floors with under-floor heating and exposed brick work the barn also offers period charm. Having 5 private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an open plan living area, it is ideal for group holidays, family get-togethers and short breaks, and with a dog friendly policy no one needs to be left behind!
The 5 bedrooms comprise 3 double bedrooms, one with en-suite, 1 twin and 1 room with bunkbeds, TV and game console. There is a family bathroom with WC, and a shower room with WC. The large open plan living space has a log fire, TV, CD player, safe and DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine clothes dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. The dining table seats 10 and the lounge offers comfortable seating, with French doors leading onto the patio and the swimming pool area.
Linen, cot and high chair provided. Welcome basket of local produce/papers/beverages provided on arrival. Heating and a complimentary basket of logs included with a small charge for extra logs.
Ings Barn is the ideal rural retreat that will keep all the family happy and entertained year round, with an open fire and under-floor heating for the cooler months. This luxury holiday cottage makes an ideal get-away any time of the year.
Outside
Set in 1 acre of land it offers a large outdoor heated swimming pool, (open from Easter until the end of October), BBQ, outdoor furniture and chiminea, adventure play area, gardens, hot tub, cycle hire and wildlife area with its own private fishing lake.
Feeding stations and bird boxes around the grounds attract local wildlife and for the younger members of the group there are nets available for pond dipping. The quiet setting offers peaceful lanes for cycling, good walks and Ings Wood on the doorstep. Ample parking space.
Area
Set in a quiet rural location with walking and cycle routes on your doorstep, this Lincolnshire holiday rental is only a 10 minute drive from a large sandy beach, 6 miles away. In Skegness, a popular seaside resort, are all the expected attractions for holiday makers: from donkey rides on the beach to white knuckle rides at the fair ground. You will find quiet stretches of beach only a short drive away.
Burgh Le Marsh is a thriving little market town about 2 miles away having a variety of pubs, shops, excellent butcher, baker, fishmonger (locally caught) and farm shop. There is also a working windmill and restaurant.
Wainfleet is a small historical town about 3 miles and has a variety of pubs, shops and home to Batemans Brewery which has been producing beer since 1874 (tours available).
Spilsby is a market town about 6 miles away and has a market day every Monday selling fresh local produce.
Also close by are the Fantasy Island theme park and Butlins Waterworld, the Lincolnshire Wolds - an area of outstanding beauty, Horncastle’s antique shops and horse riding.
