The owners make every effort to maintain a high standard to ensure all visits are happy and enjoyable and the cottage has been awarded 4 stars by the Tourist Authority. The beautifully decorated, spacious, character interior comprises a ground floor lounge, with wood burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, with upstairs bedrooms (one with a king-sized bed and ensuite/wc) and bathroom/wc.
The lounge is attractively furnished with a three piece leather suite arranged around the feature fireplace with wood burning stove. In addition a Teletext colour TV and DVD player are provided. The original built-in fireside cupboards add to the character. The warm welcoming kitchen features a traditional dresser, a dining table seating six, painted units, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and automatic washing machine. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and family bathroom. The main bedroom contains a king-size double bed and enjoys wonderful views of Ravenscar. It has a luxury ensuite shower room. Sunny bedroom 2 contains a double bed and has views over the orchard and paddock, while the third bedroom has pine twin beds and ample storage. The large bathroom contains a modern three piece suite. Other facilities include a payphone and children’s cots. Gas central heating, all electrics and a generous supply of logs are included in the price. Duvets and linen are provided. Towels are supplied for stays of three days or longer. Pets are not allowed. |

The secluded, well maintained south facing gardens have furniture and a bike shed. Extra care should be taken with toddlers' and young children as a fenced off beck runs down the garden boundary. Car parking is 30 yards away. |

This rural village location is a 15 minute stroll from the picturesque coastal beaches of Robin Hood's Bay and is ideally located close to many interesting places such as Whitby, with its marina, abbey ruins, Captain Cook’s museum and harbour attractions (tall ships, sea fishing, etc.), and Goathland, made famous by the hit TV series 'Heart Beat'. Flyingthorpe nestles within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, so is perfect for walkers - on the routes of both the Cleveland Way and coast to coast walks. Beautiful countryside and beaches beckon from the front door. Scarborough 14 miles, York 50 miles. |
