Interior
Designed for 2-4 guests, with a cot provided, this is a perfect North Wales holiday cottage for couples & families seeking a country retreat or taking a peaceful short break in a lovely location with a wealth of interesting places nearby.
The character interior is particularly reflected in the living room where an original inglenook fireplace houses a wood burning stove for cosy cooler evenings & two sofas provide generous seating to stretch out and relax. The thick stone walls and natural stone hearth reflect the history of this period building. Games and a table at which two can play them, DVDs, books, maps and guides are available besides the 'Freeview' television and a DVD player.
The streamlined tiled kitchen has a table, seating 4, and is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, a microwave/grill, fridge with freezer compartment and a washing machine. A high chair is available.
Upstairs are two comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The larger room contains a king-size bed, wardrobe and a 'Freeview' television while the ensuite bathroom has a bath with shower screen, basin and WC. The twin bedroom has an adjoining shower room with basin and WC.
Bed linen is provided. A cot is available, although guests must provide their own cot linen. The cottage has oil fired central heating by combi boiler. Fuel and electricity are included.
Outside
To the rear of this attractive rental cottage is a terraced garden, looking over a quiet churchyard to open countryside, with garden furniture and a gas BBQ. At the front of the cottage is off-road parking for 2 cars and additional use of the garden across the road.
Local area
Llangybi is an historic village. Just to the rear of the cottage is the holy well of St Cybi. The neighboring villages offer shops/pubs within a couple of miles.
Only 4 miles from the coast seaside trips are within easy reach, as is Criccieth Castle. On the fringe of the Snowdonia National Park the cottage is well placed for visits to the mountains and beaches of Gwynedd’s Lleyn Peninsula. Some of the many historic sites of North Wales such as Harlech, Criccieth and Caernarfon castles are also within easy reach. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland narrow gauge railways are also a short drive away. Larger towns for shopping include Pothmadoc and Pwllheli.
