Self catering character holiday cottages and large Farmhouses near Bude in Cornwall

Court Farm is both a holiday location and a working farm estate run by the Trewin family, experienced hosts who focus on providing the little extras that make every stay comfortable and hassle free. They are on hand to offer help and advice.

Court Farm has fifteen properties to choose from:
Four 19^th century whitewashed Cornish cottages in the heart of Marhamchurch village, each sleeping 4, with character beams, woodburning stoves and private enclosed garden;
6 beautifully converted barns around a pretty farm courtyard, sleeping 4-7, with safe child access to all on-site facilities;
3 modern, traditionally styled farm houses, with private gardens and safe child access to all facilities, sleeping 6 each;
and 2 large period farmhouses with original features and enclosed gardens.

Court Farmhouse is a 300 year old traditional, renovated family home with 5 bedrooms, sleeping 12. The secluded Georgian Northcott Farmhouse lies just up the coast at Northcott, amidst 400 acres of farmland leading to down to the sea. This period farmhouse sleeps up to 17 in 9 bedrooms and is ideal for house parties.

Interior

All properties are beautifully decorated and furnished with a full range of facilities, including 2 single storey properties. All have central heating, many with additional fireplaces, and all kitchens are fully equipped with modern appliances - microwave, electric cooker and dishwasher, and access to washing machines (at no extra cost) and coin operated tumble driers in the courtyard drying room. Most lounges include a 42” colour TV with Freeview channels, DVD player, CD player and a video player. Bedrooms have bed linen provided and towel hire available. All gas and electricity is included in the price.

Available on request are cots, stair gates and highchairs with baby backpacks and strollers for hire. Baby-sitting, taxis and maid service can be arranged. Catering services by arrangement include locally sourced food through to a complete ‘home’ catering butler service.

The extensive luxury facilities on the farm extend outside to include a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace, an all weather surface tennis court, an enclosed play garden with climbing frames and swings, a trampoline with safety net, a games room with a pool and table tennis, luxury gas barbeques and 100 acres of farmland to explore. Off road car parking provided.

A village store and the The Bullers Arms village pub are just opposite the farm.

Local area

Court Farm, located in the centre of the delightful village of Marhamchurch, is close to the renowned surfing beaches of Widemouth and Bude. Within ten minutes drive are five Blue Flag beaches, sea, lake and canal fishing, golf, horse-riding and wonderful coastal and countryside walks. Water sports including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing (with instruction) are available at Tamar Lakes.

Bude, with its two blue-flag awarded beaches, is only 10 minutes away by car and offers traditional and contemporary seaside town shopping, entertainment, supermarkets and a wide selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife for evening entertainment.

From Northcott Farmhouse, 2 miles north of Bude on the North Cornwall Coast a leisurely stroll across a green meadow leads down to the lovely Northcott Mouth beach for swimming, surfing and lazing. From here guests can walk the Atlantic heritage coast to Sandymouth, a National Trust beach and onward to Duckpool.

North Cornwall has 60 miles of dramatic Atlantic coastline with clean sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages to discover. Inland are wooded river valleys, bustling market towns and Bodmin Moor.

Staying at Court Farm guests have easy access onto the A39 and with 20 minutes lie the pretty fishing village of Boscastle and King Arthur’s medieval castle at Tintagel. Venture further to Port Isaac or cycle along the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow and discover its gastronomic delights. Three National Parks provide excellent walking and mountain biking.
