A delightful traditional self catering holiday cottage near Chapel Stile and Ambleside in Cumbria

The cottage is cosy and comfortable with night storage heaters in all rooms including the bathroom. The sitting room benefits from an open fire, for which coal is provided and in addition to the colour TV and video there is a radio-cassette/CD player.

The fitted pine kitchen is well equipped and incorporates a NEFF oven and hob and a fridge/freezer, with an additional utility area for the washing machine.

There is a double bed in the front bedroom and two single beds in the back bedroom with all bed linen provided. An occasional bed can be provided as required.

The bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath.

The cottage has views of Lingmoor Fell across the valley and the Langdale Pykes further up the valley are stunning. The cottage is about 10 minutes walk from Chapel Stile and a little further from Elterwater, but still within easy walking distance. There are a number good pubs in the area all of which serve excellent bar meals. The Langdale valley, in the very heart of the Lake District is an ideal base for a holiday. There are numerous walks to suit all abilities and ambitions. Windermere, Coniston Water, Grasmere and Rydal Water are only a short drive from the cottage. The other lakes, although a little further afield, are readily accessible.
