The Canal Barn is ideally placed for walking, cycling and coarse fishing. It provides a comfortable place to stay from which to explore the local market towns of Devizes and Marlborough and the historic cities of Bath and Salisbury. Other local sights of interest include Lacock Abbey, Bowood and Stourhead. The ancient sites of Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill are also close by. In the village of Rowde there are excellent pubs, one being the award winning “George & Dragon”, famously known for its fish menu and one of the top ten pubs in Wiltshire. |
