Brennan`s old house
is a 120 year old cottage in three quarters of an acre and is the former home of the blacksmith Michael Brennan from the village of Cross.

Although modernised during his ownership it has been returned to its original stone finish, inside and out. Mezzanine floors have been added and combined with the high ceilings retains the traditional character to be found in old cottages.

The ground floor has been finished with Mexican Terracotta, while the upper floors are of pitch pine. Roofing and floor beams remain exposed.

The cottage is located on the lower road between the villages of Cross and Kilbaha on Loop Head, renowned for their restaurants, pubs and traditional music. The lighthouse, at the point of Loop Head, is Clare's most westerly point with magnificent views of the Limerick and Kerry coastline, the Shannon and the Atlantic. Close by are the Bridges of Ross which are natural arches spanning the inlet leading to the sea. Angling is signposted from the road.
