A perfect romantic location for two, or a family holiday. This 17th century cottage was originally the main gatehouse to Broadway House, and is surrounded by trees, has a lawned garden and patio and is ideal for family fun and dining 'al fresco'.

The lodge breathes character and charm, you can feel yourself 'stepping back in time' amidst the beamed sloping ceilings, half timbered walls, huge 'inglenook' fireplace, perfect for roaring winter fires, and an original bread oven in the dining room. The bedrooms are 'Olde Worlde' complemented by the modern bathroom and quality kitchen.

Ground Floor:
Lounge with open “Inglenook” fireplace, colour TV. Dining room with original bread oven, stereo CD player. Modern kitchen with washing machine, drying & ironing facilities, dishwasher & microwave. Toilet with basin.

First Floor:
1 double bedroom, overlooking rear garden. 1 twin bedroom with original leaded windows. 1 single bedroom with original leaded windows. Modern bathroom with toilet & basin.

The lodge has a private garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ as well as dedicated parking for two cars.

The Coach house

This 19th Century coach house was originally the coachman’s accommodation and is situated to the rear of the main house, overlooking the original Victorian kitchen garden and orchard, and with scenic views towards Todleth Hill. The Coach House invokes images of a by-gone era with the garages on the ground floor retaining some of the original fittings associated with the storage of harnesses, tackle and horse drawn coaches.

The accommodation is approached by an external stairway, which leads to a spacious lounge with beamed sloping ceilings and a log-burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings. The luxurious Shaker style galley kitchen is equipped to a high standard making the preparation of a candle-lit dinner a joy. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom have been designed in a Victorian style with canopied bed, roll top bath and gothic accessories providing an inviting and romantic ambience.

First Floor:
Lounge with log burning stove, colour TV, video, stereo CD player ·“Shaker style” modern galley kitchen with washing machine, drying & ironing facilities, dishwasher & microwave. Double bedroom with ensuite luxury bathroom, featuring Victorian gothic style roll top bath & fittings.

The Coach House has a private patio, garden furniture and BBQ and dedicated garage parking for two cars.

Surrounding area:
The properties are surrounded by countryside with scenic walks and cycle trails. Offa's Dyke, the Clun Forest, Long Mynd and Stretton Hills known as 'Little Switzerland', are all close by. Discover historic Shrewsbury, medieval Ludlow with its castle, antique shops and gourmet restaurants, Powys Castle, the World Heritage Site of Iron Bridge Gorge, National Trust properties or even have a day at Aberdovey beach.
