This is a quiet rural area on the edge of the attractive village of Husthwaite. Centrally situated for visiting the Yorkshire countryside with the North Yorkshire Moors and the Dales to the east and west and the City of York just a short drive south through the Vale of York.

Baxby Manor makes ideal holiday accommodation for family gatherings or two families holidaying together. Available throughout the year for short breaks and longer stays this luxury holiday cottage is furnished to a high standard in a traditional "country house" style with many antiques.

This comfortable elegant house offers five beautifully decorated attractive bedrooms - three double en-suite bedrooms and two twin bedded rooms and a house bathroom. The large sitting room features an inglenook fireplace with open fire and French windows opening to the breakfast terrace overlooking the orchard.

In addition there is a study with phone and wireless broadband connection, a well stocked library, a cloakroom, utility room and a spacious well equipped kitchen with dining area seating 10. Facilities include a Range cooker, a large larder fridge and an American fridge/freezer and icemaker.

Outside
The lovely gardens offer plenty of garden furniture for al fresco meals, a barbecue and garden games equipment are provided. There is ample parking.

Local area
Situated on the edge of the pretty village of Husthwaite this holiday home, with views to the Hambleton Hills and the White Horse is close to York, Harrogate and the North York Moors National Park. Local amenities include a shop, pub and church. Explore the Yorkshire Dales and the coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay. Racing, golf, fishing and horse riding are all within 3 miles.

This is perfect country for walking cycling and touring—North to the vast dramatic open landscape of the Moors: West to the green valley pastures of the Dales, loved by our famous local vet, James Herriot, and the wild Bronte Country; South through the Vale of York to the City with its glorious Minster, Jorvik Viking Museum and the National Rail museum: East to the Wolds and coast—picturesque fishing villages, Whitby’s quaint streets, imposing cliff top Abbey and Dracula legend, the traditional seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey.

There are Castles, Abbeys and Stately homes in abundance. Castle Howard, Beningborough Hall, Newby Hall, Duncombe Park -The Abbeys of Byland, Rievaulx and Fountains are all within half an hour’s drive.
