To greet you on arrival, guests are provided with a luxury food hamper containing home made and local produce with the added bonus of a bottle of wine, home baked bread and fresh flowers.
It is an ideal short break and week-end retreat and for those who want to spend time exploring the English Countryside or discovering the fantastic culture Oxford, Stratford and Bath have to offer.
Interior
A limestone entrance hall, with separate WC leads into a dual aspect spacious sitting room with wood burning stove, ornamental rugs, a range of comfortable sofas and armchairs, a TV and DVD. A choice of books, magazines and some games are provided for guests’ use, as is a music centre and CDs. The cream coloured fully equipped kitchen, with an open plan dining area, is fully equipped with fan oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
Also on the ground floor is a large bedroom with a luxury en-suite bathroom. There is a high quality 6’ bed and fitted double wardrobes. The en–suite bathroom is furnished to a very high standard with ample cupboard space; the bath has a power shower attachment.
From the hall there are stairs to the first floor which has a small galleried landing area with two built in wardrobes. The sizeable double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, twin beds and affords far reaching views of the countryside. There is a small sitting area with TV/DVD and it has its own private bathroom.
A telephone is available for guests with an honesty box provided to pay for calls.

Outside
There is a sauna with relaxing room, a private patio with barbeque, plenty of storage facilities for cycles, and fishing tackle and ample parking space.
Local area
There are several local pubs providing a superb choice of food and a la carte menus. For the keen golfer there is the choice of Carswell Golf and Country Club (next door) or the nearby Championship course at Frilford Heath. There is also a wide range of fishing available at nearby rivers and lakes.
The Stables is an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds and visiting Oxford, and is within easy reach of Blenheim Horse Trials, Silverstone Racing and Cheltenham Racecourse. London can be reached by train (45 minutes) from Didcot.
