    This barn conversion holiday let is a superb year-round Devon rental property combining the home comforts of contemporary living, whilst retaining all the character features of a late 1800's building. Carefully renovated, Primrose Cottage offers a high standard of excellent accommodation for 4 or 5 guests.

    This excellent comfortable North Devon holiday cottage boasts a vaulted glass ceiling in the kitchen, where a range cooker & a double Belfast sink stylishly combine with fitted units set off by a beautiful blue slate floor. This large light space also offers a breakfast bar and dining table and chairs, a traditional dresser, wooden doors and exposed beams. The large living room also has a beautiful slate floor throughout, complimented by original oak beams, a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, a TV with Sky channels,  DVD, I-pod docking station and a door leading out to the patio.

    A wonderful oak staircase rises to the upper floor exposing a series of beautiful windows with original lintels. From the king-size bed in the master bedroom guests will enjoy breathtaking views across the valley leading to the River Taw. Bedroom two has twin beds, with room for a third if required. The contemporary bathroom has a white suite comprising sink, toilet & a double ended bath with a centrally positioned shower tap. Under-floor heating throughout the barn guarantees cosy winter breaks.

    All fuel, linen and towels are included.

    Also provided - Microwave, Washing machine with dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer, Travel cot and Highchair.

    Babysitting & a taxi service can be arranged as can a grocery delivery in advance of your arrival.

    Short breaks are available by arrangement from January to the end of May & mid September to December with the exception of school and bank holidays.

    Primrose Cottage lies within the grounds of the owners’ Victorian Manse. It offers some 42 acres of rolling meadows, woodland & paddocks, with the River Taw marking the northerly boundary of the property. Guests have a parking area, private patio and orchard garden with barbeque and garden furniture. Children’s play area and bicycles available.

    The location is perfect for exploring the area on foot or by bike or car. Should guests wish to go further afield the crashing waves of the North Atlantic coast are within 30 minutes drive. This wonderful lush countryside offers something for everyone. It is a tonic to just sit, relaxing just soaking in the breathtaking view of the valley distracted only by the abundance of passing bird and wildlife. The area surrounding the cottage is ideal for children who can make the most of the great outdoors.

    Kings Nympton, 2 miles distant, is a pretty rural village with a wonderful thatched pub offering a range of local ales and serving award winning food. Close by is a well equipped Golf and Country Club boasting a range of activities with an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness and gym complex, 18-hole golf club, tennis and health and beauty spa (day rates apply).

    The popular market town of South Molton, 4 miles, has a weekly farmers’ market and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. A train trip on the famous Tarka Line takes visitors to Barnstaple, 8 miles away, where there is a wide range of shops, a theatre, cinema and leisure activities. Places of interest including the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk.

    There are many other family attractions in the area that will suite all ages. Within easy driving distance are the spectacular beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! - all providing the opportunity to sail and surf. Exmoor National Park is only 7 miles.
