The Gallery
Two bedrooms sleep 4-6. Pets welcome
This is the larger of the two cottages with exposed beams and far reaching open country views through a magnificent 12' full height window.
It has a well equipped kitchen, a spacious and airy sitting/dining room with two steps down to a ground floor double bedroom with ensuite shower (suitable for elderly parents perhaps who cannot climb the stairs). Upstairs is a further double bedroom with twin/zip link beds, exposed beams and character. Also on the first floor is a second bathroom.
Outside
Each has a private fully enclosed gravelled patio and barbecue area with timber garden furniture and a large parasol. There is plenty of private parking. The Barn is surrounded by fields with a real country feel.
Local area
With all the major towns and the many pretty villages of the Cotswolds within easy reach there is plenty to do. Local attractions including Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle There are lots of National Trust properties in the area too and plenty to keep the children busy. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Cotswold Farm Park are both nearby.
Shipton Under Wychwood
Shipton under Wychwood is a typical English village in West Oxfordshire with a a wide village green. On the south bank of the River Evenlode Shipton is the largest of the Wychwoods (the others are Ascott and Milton). The village has a railway station and access to the Oxfordshire Way long-distance footpath. The village's medieval origins and long history are reflected in Shipton Court - one of the largest Jacobean houses in the country. The parish church of St. Mary has a tower of circa 1200-1250 and a 15th century vaulted porch. The mainly 15th century Shaven Crown Hotel overlooks the village green and was once a guest house run by the monks of Bruern Abbey, claiming to have held a licence since 1384.
Two bedrooms sleep 4-6. Sorry No pets.
This is the cosier property with a real cottagey feel, again with lots of exposed beams.
It has a snug sitting/dining room, kitchen, utility room and upstairs a double bedroom and shower room, a further double bedroom with twin/zip link beds and an ensuite bathroom.
