An attractive thatched cottage in an idyllic location |
|
Gingerbread
Cottage is a detached thatched self catering village
cottage.The owners live adjacent in
Sheepfold Cottage which is also thatched and dates from 1724. It is
ideal for two people, but a third bed is available if required. The
cottage has been completely renovated, is fully central heated and
double-glazed, and although modernised it
has not lost its olde worlde charm. Tastefully
decorated and furnished throughout. |

Area |

|
For those who enjoy
country walks, this area is particularly suitable. There are some
lovely walks just behind Sherrington and up to the Great Ridge where a
Roman road exists. Some of the area has ancient woodlands and in
spring these are carpeted with a riot of beautiful bluebells. Being
chalk uplands and farming countryside there are wonderful views across
the valleys. Some of the area is sparsely inhabited and when walking
you may feel that you have the place to yourself |
