Interior
Fully refurbished this English country house offers spacious and tastefully furnished holiday accommodation for 8-10 guests. The many period features and very well equipped interior make this an ideal family holiday house or celebration venue. The ground floor comprises two lounges, a large kitchen linked to the dining room, a utility room and downstairs cloakroom.

In the first lounge a huge brick inglenook fireplace takes centre stage with a solid fuel burning stove. This room also houses a digital TV, a video, books and games. In the rear wing a second, even larger beamed lounge contains a piano, stereo and brick inglenook. The large fitted kitchen is equipped to a high standard and linked to the dining room where an oak table seats 10. 

Upstairs a large master suite includes a sofa bed and cot to convert it into a family room. In addition the double bedroom has en suite and the two twin rooms share a main bathroom. 

Coal and logs are available free of charge. Catering may be available by arrangement.

Dogs permitted by arrangement with the owner.

Outside
The pretty country garden includes sitting out areas, a summerhouse with deck, a barn with a table tennis table and a barbecue.

The front of the house faces south while the rear wing faces east/west. Outside there is planty of parking space. An open barn houses a table tennis table and a barbecue is also supplied. Dogs are admitted by arrangement.

Local area
Situated on Dumpdon Hill, which is owned by the National Trust, Rolleshayes Farmhouse is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a paradise for dog walkers and bird watchers.

Shopping in Honiton is 10 minutes drive away. The coastal towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are within 30 minutes drive, as are good walks along the Jurassic coastal path.  Exmoor and Dartmoor are less than an hour away.

Close to the Somerset and Dorset borders the location lends itself to exploring these counties as well as the many attractions of South Devon. Exeter airport lays only 25 minutes drive distant and the house is easily accessible from the M5.

The house is an ideal base for touring the West Country sights such as Bath , Wells and Exeter Cathedrals, Glastonbury or pretty towns – Sherborne, Topsham, Dartmouth and so on. Axminster, the home of River Cottage, is 20 minutes. Gardens and National Trust properties (or similar) within easy reach include Killerton, Hestercombe, Bicton, Forde Abbey, Cadhay, Powderham, La Ronde, Knightshayes, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, and Castle Drogo.

Golfers will find many courses in the area and for riders there are a number of stables. There are also fishing lakes, karting and an airstrip nearby. There are frequent stock car meetings ten minutes away at Smeatharpe and racecourses at Taunton , Exeter and Newton Abbot. Children can be entertained at Crealy Country near Exeter, Pecorama at Beer, Paignton Zoo, Weston Donkey Sanctuary, tram rides at Colyton, fossil hunting at Axmouth, Quaywest water park at Torbay, Woodlands Leisure Park at Dartmouth, Babbacombe model village among other attractions.
