The Croghan Lodge comprises a cosy sitting room with TV and an open fire; a fitted kitchen including a washing machine; 2 bedrooms comprising one with double bed and the other with twin beds; bathroom with shower.

This delightful Irish holiday cottage is heated by solid fuel central heating with the additional open fire for which all fuel is included.  Also included in rent: all power, bed linen and towels.

Outside
Garden furniture allows you to enjoy the lawned gardens and there is ample parking space. Pets are welcome. Its own entrance to the park allows guests to wander the 50 hectares, and enjoy them privately after the main gates close to the general public at the end of each afternoon.

Recognised as one of Europe's finest ornamentsl gardens, Birr Castle Demesne includes trees and shrubs from all over the world around a lake with rivers and waterfalls. Area
The Georgian town of Birr is the county’s prettiest and retains much character in its buildings and layout. Only 1 mile away it offers shops with good Irish "craic" and excellent restaurants.

 Fishing, horse riding and golf are available locally and the River Shannon is only 20 minutes drive away. Mid Ireland and the Birr region offer many other attractions. County Offaly boasts castles, abbeys and lovely rural scenery at the heart if the Irish Midlands.

This County Offaly holiday cottage is an ideal base for touring nearby counties, and close by is an excellent mix of countryside, leisure activities, sightseeing, history, and one of Ireland’s most important heritage sites – Clonmacnoise.

The heathery Slieve Bloom Mountains, in the south-east of County Offaly, are ideal for walking and hiking. Open moorland and hidden valleys are just waiting to be explored.
