    Local Area
Enjoy a relaxing East Anglian holiday in Hope Cottage. From this peaceful location explore the many attractions of North Norfolk.

Close to the heart of the village of Erpingham, North Norfolk, which was the family seat of Sir Thomas Erpingham who fought at the battle of Agincourt in 1415, Hope Cottage is 1 mile from the local shops at Aldborough which has seasonal cricket matches on the village green, and a short stroll from the village pub serving meals. The friendly Broadland market town of Aylsham is 4 miles and the pilgrimage centre of Walsingham is also nearby.

Journey just 4 miles north to the seaside resorts of Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley. Discover the unspoilt beach at Bacton or visit the Christmas Spectacular at Thursford. The fine cathedral city of Norwich and the famous Norfolk Broads are within a 20 minute drive. Wells next the Sea and Holt are also within easy reach.

The Norfolk Broads are located between the spectacular beaches of the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts and the cathedral city of Norwich. The Broads is a fragile wetland of international importance, full of rare wildlife. Winding waterways, tangled woodlands, golden reeds, marshland fields stretching to the far horizon, white sails in the sunset - definitely a place to dream and enjoy.

    Walking
Weavers Way Path, just over the fields, leads across Thwaite Common, through beautiful National Trust land, to the 17th century Blickling Hall – surrounded by acres of National Trust land.

    Bird Watching
Many local ornithology sites include Cley marshes, an internationally recognised bird watching site, only 30 minutes drive.

The area offers a rich mix of attractions and activities year-round for visitors of any age and any interest. Guests can enjoy boat trips to the Seal and Tern colonies at Blakeney and walks through Holt Country Park.
